“CASE” stands for Copy and Share Everything – basically, something you CASE’d is something that gave you inspiration – whether copying layout, color scheme, or even the whole card. Though I find most paper crafters can’t help putting their own spin on things (or maybe that’s just me!).

CASE-ing the catalog is always a great place to start, and the cards in this post are CASE’d from the card on the right. However, in point of fact it is someone else’s CASE of the catalog that inspired me – I technically CASE’d a CASE! ;).

I didn’t have the DSP (designer series paper) shown in the catalog so I fancied up the pink layers with some die cuts and/or sponging with sponge daubers.

Karin of www.karinspapercraft.blogspot.com posted a video with her case of the catalog, walking through the steps necessary, and then also an alternate color scheme that I fell in love with. Karin’s video gave great tips on how to cut the flowers out (called “fussy cutting”) – and I got lots of practice with my Paper Snips!

Other shots of these three cards. (In the spirit of full disclosure, I made a fourth card with my own color scheme, but it ended up not being as balanced or aesthetic as those below, so I’m not going to show you!)
